Slow interface presumably on iGPU Macs
D
Dmitry Matora
MacOS 12.7.1 (21G920)
BoltAI 1.15.18
on MacBook 12 switching between apps takes BoltAI couple of seconds to reRender on each app switch, which is very annoying, given any alternative does it instantly.
And it's not just MacBook 12 - another iGPU MacBook also takes about a second.
Works fine on iMac though, I guess due to AMD dGPU

iMac is also on macOS 12
Are you saying, upgrading to macOS 13 should eliminate the issue?
After giving some though I've not just recorded video, but also included stopwatch on the screen and calculated switch window time
Here is the video
https://youtu.be/KSI6jqYgkIo
Here are calculations:
- 48:84 -> 50:53 Bolt
Duration: 1:69 (50:53 - 48:84)
- 52:15 -> 52:44 Jan
Duration: 0:29 (52:44 - 52:15)
- 53:76 -> 56:00 Bolt
Duration: 2:24 (56:00 - 53:76)
- 57:07 -> 57:31 Jan
Duration: 0:24 (57:31 - 57:07)
- 58:69 -> 1:00:61 Bolt
Duration: 2:52 (1:00:61 - 58:69)
- 1:03:00 -> 1:03:15 Jan
Duration: 0:15 (1:03:15 - 1:03:00)
- 1:05:31 -> 1:08:17 Bolt
Duration: 2:86 (1:08:17 - 1:05:31)
Average durations:
Bolt:
(1:69 + 2:24 + 2:52 + 2:86) / 4 = 2:42 = more than 2 secondsJan:
(0:29 + 0:24 + 0:15) / 3 = 0:22 = 220 millisecondsBolt's average switch window duration is approximately 12 times longer than Jan's.

Thanks for the bug report, Dmitry Matora. Any chance you can share a screen recording so I could understand the issue better.
Also is the iMac on macOS 13+? On macOS 12 the renderer was different (using swift-markdown-ui which is quite resource intensive)
I will take a deeper look
